Biography

Born in rural Yorkshire in the late eighties, Pip’s naturalistic approach to photography not only pays tribute to his roots, but also brings a certain romance to his work. Entirely self-taught, Pip traded college education and assisting for venturing across the cities and countryside of Northern England as he worked on location with local musicians and models to build a unique portfolio. Gaining representation and a diverse client base at just nineteen years old, his collection of beautiful moments led to several national and international editorial commissions, and a host of commercial projects for record labels, indie and major and brands such as Topman, Channel 4, Barclaycard, Royal Opera House and Redstripe Lager.

Pip began gaining national press attention for his work when F2 Magazine ran an eight-page feature on the remarkable rise of his career; and the most widely distributed magazine for professional photographers, Photo Pro, named him as one of the UK’s rising stars. He was later asked to shoot a main feature for them, making him the youngest cover photographer in the publication’s history. In late 2011 Pip was shortlisted in the prestigious AOP (Association of Photographers) Open Awards.

Now based in London, and established as one of the most exciting young portrait photographers in the country, Pip is bringing his vision to wider audiences through commissions, personal projects and directing music videos and films.
